Help us celebrate our 30th Anniversary!  Presented by West Coast Paddlesports and ARE Tahiti, the Hanohano Ocean Challenge is one of the Longest Running Paddlesport Races in North America!  We’ve always had a great mix of top level professional athletes and beginners from ages 7-80.  

The St. Johns River challenge is an 8(ish) mile race along the St. Johns and Arlington rivers in Jacksonville, Florida.  Racers will  get to circumnavigate Exchange Island and see views of the downtown Jacksonville Skyline.  Lucky racers will also see pods of dolphins and the occasional manatee. 

Head to Easthampton, Massachusetts for a 6.5 mile race around the Oxbow!

The Gorge Downwind Champs is a week-long festival of downwind paddling held annually in the Columbia River Gorge which is conveniently located 1 hour from Portland Oregon.  Consistent summer winds, simple fast shuttles, variable terrain from insane to beginner, hot temps and fresh water make it one of the top downwind locations on the planet.  More than 300 surfski competitors in attendance!

Known as the "Boston Marathon" of the competitive surfski world, the Blackburn Challenge is a 20-mile open water circumnavigation of the beautiful vacation destination island of Cape Ann, Massachusetts.  A true endurance race, the Blackburn course features five distinct legs, each with unique characteristics and tactics.  Due the fickle nature of the weather on Massachusetts' North Shore, conditions can vary dramatically throughout the day and the water can be rough, with strong winds and large waves. 

The Chesapeake Bay Paddle, hosted by the Kent Island Outrigger Canoe Club offers 3-mile and 10-mile out-and-back races, as well as an epic 35-mile full circumnavigation of Kent Island, Maryland.  All three courses are open to single and double surfski paddlers.  The race start/finish and post party are located at the Kent Island Yacht Club.  The event benefits Chesapeake Conservancy’s WaterKeepers Chesapeake and Oyster Recovery Partnership.  Race shirt guaranteed for registrations in by June 30, so don't delay!

The Circumnavigation has been going for several years and it's a beautiful paddle no matter your speed.  The course progression is determined within 24 hours of the event to take the best advantage of the wind direction. All 9-mile and 15-mile paddlers pass through Knapps Narrows, a highly traveled thruway between the Chesapeake and Choptank rivers & home to one of the most frequently opened drawbridges in the United States.

The 2025 Pan American Canoe Ocean Racing Continental Championships will be held in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil, home of the annual MolokaBRA Downwind Festival, from August 22nd through August 31st.   The ACA Ocean Racing Committee is currently working on the participation package for this international competition, so get ready to race in one of the fastest growing surfski communities in the Americas!

The 2025 ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships will be held in Durban, South Africa, from October 17th through October 19th.   The ACA Ocean Racing Committee is currently working on the participation package for this international competition, so get ready to race in the "Home of Surfski"!

Chief Michael Huck of Dania Beach Ocean Rescue has brought our race back to the beach where it all started 37 years ago!  The 2025 East Coast Surfski Championship offers 12-mile open water and 4-mile protected water racing with a mid-morning start time.  All racing takes place on the Dania Beach waterfront on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.

 is a paddling race in Newport Harbor consisting of an 11-mile long course for Outriggers, Kayaks, Prone, K1’s, C1’s, and Stand Up Paddle Boards.

The Dana Ocean Challenge is a 10-mile open water race located in Dana Point, Southern California, hosted by the Dana Outrigger Canoe Club.

Florida's annual Treasure Coast Paddle Battle features a 10k course, which starts in on the beach, through the Fort Pierce inlet, and around to the beautiful Indian River, before landing on the shores of Jaycee Park.  What will the conditions be?  What will your strategy be?  Only one way to find out!

The New England season opening 16th Annual Narrow River Race is a great gauge of your early-season mettle. Held in protected waters, the race is suitable for most paddlers.  (ACS Estimate: E1)

The Wild Buffalo Race is an all-small craft relay race within the Southern California Ocean Racing winter series. The race includes all small craft divisions with relay teams of 2-4 people (depending on the craft) or select solo divisions. The race runs from Avalon, Catalina Island, CA to the Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach, CA. This is a 32 mile course.

The Washington Canoe Club is pleased to invite you to the 18th Kumu'ohu Challenge on the Potomac River.  In addition to outrigger and SUP, classes will include surfski, sea kayak, and ICF sprint canoe/kayak. Celebrate Spring with a great day of paddling and camaraderie in the Nation's Capital!  

The Run of the Charles is the signature event of Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA), the leading science and advocacy organization for Boston's Charles River and its surrounding watershed. The event is the largest multi-discipline boat race in New England and draws over a thousand racers and spectators each year with the help of nearly 150 volunteers.

The 13th Annual Carolina Cup is a week-long event featuring clinics, demos and 5 races. On Saturday, there is a 3.5-mile Harbor Island Recreational race, 6.5-mile Money Island Open Race, the dreaded 13-mile Graveyard Elite Race and The Graveyard Outrigger and Surfski race.

The "Black Belt Paddler Challenge" is a spectacular paddling race that merges the allure of the ocean with the pulse of competition. Drawing inspiration from the legendary races in Tahiti and Hawaii, we're excited to bring this tradition to Miami, Florida, for an unforgettable experience and witness top athletes from around the globe compete individually to earn the coveted Black Belt Paddler Title!

May 4th 2024 we will Invade the City of Tampa by Paddleboard, Surfski & Outrigger Canoe!!  Get ready for a day of exciting racing & FUN for the whole family as Urban Kai & Friends of the Riverwalk host the 2024 Paddle Invasion!  The race benefits the Tampa Riverwalk!  Choose from our two race events: LONG (6 mi) or SHORT (2 mi). 

2024 is the 50th Anniversary of the D and R Canal State Park. In commemoration of that, we are holding a Spring paddling race! May 4th at 10 AM.  As per the famous song, a day for a mule pulling a barge on the Canal was 15 miles. Can you complete half of a mule-day on the D and R canal? If so, join us for the 8-mile "half-mule" race!

The Great Chickasawhay Race is back on after a brief hiatus.. There will be door prizes and tons of fun!

This race provides lots of challenges for everyone. If water is low and the temps are hot get ready for a very challenging 22 plus miles. No matter what the conditions the River is beautiful and the people of Wayne County MS are some of the best you will find anywhere. Once you have paddled this route you will always want to come back for more whether you are racing or just out for a fun paddling adventure.

Experience the most scenic section of the historic Suwannee River!  Race Divisions include canoe, kayak and SUP.  Racers over 50 years old may choose to race in the Masters division.  Award paddles will be given to the overall winners and division winners.  Second and third place winners will receive medals. All racers will receive a race shirt.

The Clearwater Outrigger Canoe Club is recruiting members and building new opportunities to race!  Our inaugural event will be a small boat race approximately eight miles long, starting from the Clearwater Community Sailing Center in Clearwater Beach, FL.

Finishing off the Maui Paddling Hui 2024 Season with a bang!  Test your fitness at the Kai Wa'a Strong Maliko.  Maui Paddling Hui operates a racing series on the island of Maui.  The races include one and two person outrigger canoes, and Surfski ocean racing kayaks.

The 3rd Annual Navarre Paddle Classic, sponsored by Navarre Beach Yoga Studio, will be held May 18, 2024 at Navarre Beach Marine Park in Florida's Santa Rosa Sound to benefit the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center.

Paddle the beautiful Occoquan River in this challenge for recreational and competitive paddlers alike!  This flatwater course will start and end at Occoquan Regional Park and pass the waterfront of the historic town of Occoquan, along the shoreline of several wildlife areas, and under multiple bridges.  

The GCC Vortex Race #1 is a part of the Vortex Race Series put on by Gorge Canoe Club. This a three part race paddling series in the Heart of the Gorge with courses set on the Columbia River. The potential course for Race #1 is Marine Park Beach, Cascade Locks, OR to Home Valley Park, Home Valley, WA. 

Each May, the world’s best surfski paddlers enter the ocean at Molokai’s Papohaku Roadstead to compete in the Molokai Challenge: A Race to Oahu. Because of the large international field this race attracts it is considered the unofficial World Championship of Open Ocean Surfski and Solo Canoe Racing.

Join us on Sunday, May 19th for the 28th Annual Mystic River Herring Run and Paddle, which runs every May and celebrates the return of the river herring!  Paddlers choose either a 9-mile all-water course or a 12-mile course featuring a brief portage.

Now in its 19th season, Massachusetts' storied Salem League weekly series offers action-packed Tuesday evening ocean races beginning in mid-May and running through the end of August.

ON YOUR MARK, GET SET - PADDLE OUT at our 6th annual season opener at 3000+ acre Gun Lake in Shelbyville, Michigan!  With 5k and 10k course options, this event is the kick starter for the Midwest Paddle League racing series!  

This beautiful wetland course offers amazing wildlife scenery as well as an athletic challenge. To help support and protect our local wildlife and the waters within, the proceeds from the race will benefit Tidewater Wildlife Rescue (a subsidiary of Evelyn's Wildlife Refuge) and the James River Association.

Canoers, kayakers, and paddleboarders are welcome to compete in this fun 9.25-mile race on the Iowa River! Serious racers (you know who you are) can enter into the competitive event. Included in the race fee is a race t-shirt and lunch. All profits help the to expand the Johnson County Conservation Environmental Education program. 

Experienced and beginner paddlers are welcomed to Lake Blalock, one of Spartanburg County's reservoirs and a wildlife management area. Choose from the three-mile or six-mile option along the still waters of the Pacolet River. Blalock is a rural, protected, access-controlled reservoir, and power boat traffic is limited. SUPs, kayaks, surfskis, canoes, and other human-powered craft are welcome.

The 12-mile Sakonnet Surfski Race stretches along Rhode Island’s expansive Sakonnet River tidal estuary, testing paddlers with dynamic downwind conditions.  The 20k course exposes athletes to a range of possible wind, wave, and current scenarios, challenging competitors' fitness and navigational skills in one of the most beautiful and accessible coastal locations in New England.

The 8th Annual Paddle Mania race hosted by the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club. The race will be on the Chattahoochee River beginning and ending at Lanier Olympic Park. 5K and 10K course options. Numerous age and craft classes will offer many opportunities for competition among equals.

Gear up for the Rat Island Regatta, an exciting paddling event happening at Fort Worden State Park. Whether you choose the short or long course, both routes offer thrilling challenges and breathtaking scenery. Don't miss the chance to compete for the coveted Rat Island Cup, where the first overall finisher will have their name hand-engraved for posterity!

The 12th Annual Ride the Bull is a 9-mile race held on Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay.  The competition is a true open-water event, with rough ocean conditions expected. 

Great Lakes open water racing is back!  The annual 45 North Solstice Paddle Festival is including a 10-mile downwind surfski race in beautful West Arm Traverse Bay.  Those of you familiar with TC Surfski and the Peak Paddle Performance Podcast know that Traverse Bay is Nick Murray's home turf!  Get ready to catch miles of sweet runs on crystal clear fresh water, and then hang out at a huge community party waiting for you at the finish line!

Head to Clemson, South Carolina for the 3rd Annual Paddle Jam and enjoy two days of food, music, community, and a 6mi / 10k course set in Clemson's beautiful 12-mile Recreation Area.

Head to Connecticut for the annual Charles Island Challenge 5-mile race!  Located just west of New Haven, the Milford-based race launches paddlers from the beach into the warm waters of Long Island Sound.  With live music, yoga, dancing, hula hoop contests, craft tents, sponsor tent giveaways, wellness tents, beach yoga, SUP yoga, games, and food trucks on site, the apres-race can't be missed!

The DeSatnick Foundation will host a 14.50-mile circumnavigation of Cape May Island, New Jersey. This is a challenging open water test, as participants paddle past the USCG TRA-CEN, the only training center/boot camp facility in the entire country, through the Cold Spring Inlet, which is over one mile long and home to the third-largest commercial fishing fleets on the East Coast, past the USS Atlantus, the world-famous sunken concrete ship, and through the Cape May Canal, which was dug by the Army Corp of Engineers in 1942 to reduce the risk of attack by German U-Boats.

The Milford Small Craft Race will be held on Sunday,  June 23, 2024 from Gulf Beach with 9-mile long course (2 laps) and 4.5 short course (1 lap).  OC1, OC2, Surfski, Double Surfski, Fast Kayaks, SUP, and Prone divisions for Men, Women & Mixed.

The Jamestown Double Beaver is a 10-mile race held on Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay.  The competition is a true open-water event, with rough ocean conditions likely. Expect to see fantastic scenery, including lighthouses and beautiful sailing vessels along the way.

The Tahoe Paddle Jam is an iconic event and a summer celebration beach party at Tahoe Waterman's Landing Beach Club on the pristine beach of North Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Paddle Jam offers a 3-mile (5km) short course, a 7.5-mile (10km) long course and a Watergrom Challenge.

The GCC Vortex Race #3 is a part of the Vortex Race Series put on by Gorge Canoe Club. This a three part race paddling series in the Heart of the Gorge with courses set on the Columbia River. The potential course for Race #3 is still to be determined, but rest assured that it will be awesome!!! 

A NECKRA series race.  This race course is set on the beautiful West and Connecticut Rivers. Come out for a great competition and enjoy the fun on the river. We will host an informal gathering after the race and snacks will be provided.  Limited t-shirts available on race day! 

Portland Paddle of Maine's East End Race Series is a ten-week series of friendly competitions for kayakers and paddleboarders, with races scheduled every Monday evening beginning the first week of July and running through the first week of September!

Please join us for the 46th annual New England Paddlesports Championship!  Canoe, Kayak, SUP and Surf Ski races - a classic event on the Connecticut River for all skill levels!  Lunch, awards, and river fun with Connecticut River Conservancy after the race!

A summer surfski race, hotter than most, held on Florida's sunny East Coast!  We look forward to having you join us as we continue to grow our Southeast paddling community. 

Calling all New England surfski and outrigger canoe paddlers!  Join us at Wollaston Beach in Quincy, Massachusetts on Sunday, July 21st at 9:00am for the inaugural paddling competition of the Bay State Games!

Celebrating our 21st year!  The 10-mile Kamalo Downwinder is the second of two Molokai Holokai Ho'olaule'a events that embody our inherent Hawaiian cultural values - taking care of the land and sea, giving back to the community, honoring host culture/language, respecting others.

Celebrating our 21st year!  We are not the typical race -- come join us for this event and be part of the movement to inspire our Youth.  Friday's 26-mile event starts from DT Fleming Beach on Maui.  Racers cross the Pailolo Channel in a 26-mile race open to all paddle craft and some wind craft, too.

Paddle Belle Isle State Park!  Mid-summer celebration of all human powered water crafts.  Come and compete with your friends old and new on this 6mi/10k circumnavigation course.  Meet and spar with some of the best paddlers from USA & Canada.  Race cap is 200 participants!

Welcome to the 5th running of the annual Knoxville's Three Rivers Regatta!   Once again, paddlers will challenge the three rivers of the headwaters of the Tennessee in Knoxville in one of the Southeasts most exciting summer races.  With three rivers to select from and the same location for the Start and Finish lines competitors will need to choose wisely -- will you make the right call?  Only one way to find out!

Bring your SUP, kayak, canoe, tandem, or prone to race at the Ohio River Paddlefest.  Racers will be a part of the nation's largest paddling celebration, leading some 2,000 recreational paddlers down a closed course on the Ohio River, passing through downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. 

The Connecticut River Museum’s Fifth annual downriver paddle regatta to benefit the Museum’s education programs takes place on August 10, 2024 from 8:00 – 12:00. The Regatta is open to all paddle craft: canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards and rowboats.

THE SPOT, WND&WVS and HULA welcome paddlers of all crafts to the 11th annual Stand Up for the Lake at the Burlington Surf Club on stunning Lake Champlain, Vermont.  On site camping is available for free for racers and families traveling from outside the area. The event includes food, clinics, a rec race, an elite race, and plenty of good times.  Come race in New England's beautiful inland sea!

This event offers a fantastic opportunity to paddle on the beautiful intracoastal waterways of Jupiter, Florida. For those seeking competition, there will be a challenging race atmosphere. Whether you are a first-time paddler or a seasoned racer, this event promises a unique on-water experience.

The Mighty Cumberland River Run consist of two races; the 7 miles race that starts upstream from Burkesville and finishes at the Burkesville Boat Ramp and the 12- mile race that also starts 7 miles upstream from Burkesville, but extends on 5 miles past the Burkesville Boat Ramp and ends at Traces on the Cumberland boat ramp.  Come enjoy an entire weekend of festivities with us in Kentucky!

Lanakila Iki Outrigger Canoe Club is proud to welcome you to the Lanakila Iki Ocean Challenge 2024 Race!  The Challenge is a true ocean race, located in beautiful Hollywood Beach, Florida.  Bring your "A game" -- this competition is truly an experience not to be missed!  Race fee includes lunch and swag :) 

Gear up for the Rapa Nui 2024 adventure race, set amidst the stunning backdrop of Traverse City, Michigan.  Starting from Bowers Harbor boat launch, participants will navigate a 3-mile paddle, followed by a 2-mile trail run around Power Island. The race concludes with another 3-mile paddle back to the finish line, offering challenges and scenic views throughout.

The Kaspian Downwinder is a classic 9-mile (15km) downwind run for the Team Tahoe Waterman crew whenever the wind allows, and it's the perfect setting for our Tahoe Downwind Championship.  The lake's big fetch features afternoon high winds, an excellent combination for riding bumps and gliding across the pristine crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe.

Bellingham Bay Outrigger Paddlers introduces the inaugural BBOP Challenge!  Set on beautiful Lake Whatcom, this multi-format race features a 12-mile small boat course which aligns nicely with the ICF spec distance.  In addition to the race, enjoy a light breakfast, Hawaiian plate lunch, games, and access to the 21+ beer garden as part of your registration!

Big Bear PaddleFest is BACK for 2024 as a part of Big Bear's Lakefest!  Join us for a weekend of paddle races and more including an open water swim race, arm wrestling contest, live music, and an action sports show.  Surfski paddlers can look forward to the Lakefest Classic 10K and the Dooley Cup 20K race circumnavigating the entire lake.  Help us to reboot the paddling enthusiast community at Big Bear!

Portland Paddle of Maine's East End Race Series is a ten-week series of friendly competitions for kayakers and paddleboarders, with races scheduled every Monday evening beginning the first week of July and running through the first week of September!

Connecticut's Fairfield Rotary Club is proud to present the fourth annual Fairfield Paddle Fest at Jennings Beach!  Mark your calendars for a day at the beach with a 6-mile competitive surfski race, kids' arts & crafts, food, and live music!  Proceeds go to the Fairfield Rotary Club.

The Dick Reese is an 8-mile flatwater race hosted by the Canoe Club of Greater Harrisburg, consisting of three laps around City Island, located in the riverfront area of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  After the race hang out with the Mid-Atlantic paddling community at the Harrisburg Beach Club!

The OluKai Lowcountry Boil Paddle Battle is a paddle race held on Hilton Head Island. Race proceeds go toward The Outside Foundation. Sound Rowers Open Water Rowing and Paddling Clubis a volunteer organization conducting open water races for world class and weekend athletes in any sea-worthy human powered water-craft. We sponsor races for kayaks, surfskis, rowing shells, rowboats, canoes, pedal boats and more throughout Puget Sound. 

The Great Stone Dam Classic consists of three races, all happening at the same time. Races share the same start/finish line, and racers start in waves grouped by race distance and boat class. All proceeds benefit the Greater Lawrence Community Boating Program (GLCBP).  GLCBP has taught thousands of kids and adults to sail, row, canoe and kayak over the last 30 years.

The Tahoe Waterman Tahoe Cup / Lake Crossing is set apart from other paddle races by its 22-mile length.  The paddle across the majestic "Alpine Caribbean" environment of Lake Tahoe, surrounded by 2000' mountain peaks, is a bucket list experience to most paddlesports enthusiasts. The Lake Crossing is open all craft: stand-up paddleboards, prone paddleboards, outrigger canoes, and surfskis.

The 7th Annual Bay Bridge Paddle is a paddlesports showcase on the Chesapeake Bay. There are divisions for kayaks, SUPs, surfskis, prone, outrigger canoe and three courses for all skill levels: The Span (9M), The Steamer (3M), and The Soft Shell (1M). After the race, kick back with your paddle people with live music, activities on the beach, raffles benefitting the Foundation for Community Betterment, and awards ceremony. Over $2k in cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers in the Span course!

Blazing Paddles Paddlefest offers three race courses on the comeback Cuyahoga River, a river that's risen like a phoenix from its ecological low-point. The course is a curvy, urban course featuring sweeping views of downtown Cleveland and the river's unique industrial landscape of bridges and iconic pyramids of sand and stone and steelmaking behemoths contrasted with paved paths and green-spaces.

 The BayCreek Cup Race is on again with an updated name…  The Rochester Cup at BayCreek!  The 8-mile race is held on Irondequoit Bay in Rochester, NY. While typically a flat-water course, the bay can get a little lumpy depending on wind and boat-wake conditions.  Only one award is given: the perpetual trophy for overall canoe/kayak -- so bring your fastest boat and paddle hard!

The 6th Annual Dam Bridge Challenge is a series of paddle races which showcase our River and benefits the work of the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper. All paddle crafts are invited to enjoy a day on one of the oldest rivers in the world. Then gather with your paddle people for live music, local eats, craft beer and an stellar awards ceremony!

O Kalani Outrigger Canoe Club, in collaboration with the NCOCA, is ending the summer paddling season with Paddlefest 2024!  The event features short and long courses located at Encinal Beach in Alameda, California. Each paddler may race one or both courses, and participants can look forward to brats, buns, sauerkraut, beverages, and other tasty things a la Oktoberfest and autumnal celebrations.

The California Gold serves as the premier surf endurance race in the United States with a mission to raise awareness of drowning while also providing funds to back junior lifeguard scholarships and drowning prevention programs.  The 12-mile Pier to Pier Outrigger & Surfski Race runs from the Newport Beach Pier to the Huntington Beach Pier and back, finishing on the beach. 

Join us for the second edition of the Salem Sound Spectacular, a surfski race held amidst the islands of Salem Sound, Massachusetts.  The 8-mile long course is suitable only for experienced open water paddlers, however the 6-mile short course remains close to the shore with numerous sandy take-outs.

The 1st Annual Chattahoochee HalfJack race hosted by the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club. The race will be on the Chattahoochee River beginning and ending at LCKC in Lake Lanier Olympic Park.  With 5K, 10K and 25K course options, and numerous age and craft classes, there are lots of opportunities for competition among equals.

Thief Neck Island Paddle Quest offers races challenging all levels of racers with an exciting course on Watts Bar Lake in East Tennessee.  First timer racer or novice paddler? Discover the thrill of racing in the beautiful, sheltered channel for the exciting 3-mile Deckhand Dash race.  The longer courses cross a large body of open water and circumnavigate Thief Neck Island (9-mile) and Morris Island (18-mile).

Drawing on the tradition of past races held here, NORCA has partnered with the locals to create an exciting event at a great venue. Short and Long courses will launch from the Half Moon Bay Yacht beach in Pillar Point Harbor and take paddlers offshore and back to the harbor. Don't miss the best ocean race of the year!

From paddle races to fun parties, the Ozone Florida Clearwater Beach Classic will be sure to show you a great time!  Now in it's eighth year, this action-packed weekend features exciting races for paddlers who are looking to compete in outrigger canoes (OC1/OC2/OC6), surfskis, and rudderless va'a.

The Narrows Challenge pits human powered vessels against the strong tidal currents between Tacoma and Gig Harbor. About a third of Washington's Puget Sound flows through this  deep and narrow channel. The race offers 5K (3 mile), 10K (6 mile) and 20K (12 mile) lengths, with the longer options geared toward intermediate and expert level surfski paddlers.

Open to all paddlers (and paddlecrafts!), the 5-mile Silver Lake Race is located in Berlin, CT in collaboration with Kuhn Employment Opportunities, a non-profit assisting adults with disabilities in finding employment and becoming valued, independent and proud members of the community. 

Aloha! Welcome to the NCA Minimental Small Boat Race, hosted by NCA Outrigger and the National Capital Area Women's Paddling Association (NCAWPA).  All small craft racers are welcome to participate: outrigger canoes, surfskis, kayaks, SUPs, marathon canoes (conditions permitting), and one and two person rowing shells (conditions permitting).  This is a flatwater small boat race on the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers in Washington, DC. Participants can race a 9.5 mile Long Course, a 4.25 mile Short Course, or both at no extra cost.  

The annual Autumn Marsh Challenge takes place in the protected salt marsh south of Tybee Island, Georgia.  The race is open to all ages and paddle craft categories, including kayaks, surfskis, canoes, SUP boards, etc. Course options include a 3.1 mile short course and a 6.2 mile (10k) long course.

For over 40 years, Sea Trek has hosted the largest paddling regatta on the West Coast each October in Sausalito, CA. Join us on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, for a fun and challenging day of paddling on San Francisco Bay, open to sea kayakers, stand-up paddlers, outriggers, and more, with race classes for both competitive racers and spirited enthusiasts.

The 2024 TCKRA Open Water State Championship race will offer classes for Surfski, OC1, and SUP.  The course consists of out and back short distance laps approx 1/4-1/2 mile out from the beach, covering 4-6 miles total.   As always, lifeguards race free!

The final competition of the Rhode Island season, this 8-mile race on the scenic Narrow River is a great gauge of your overall season fitness. With protected waters and shallow sandy bottom in most areas, the race is suitable for most all paddlers. The colorful Fall foliage reflecting on this tidal river is beautiful. 

Bluerush & Blue Water Yacht Harbor are proud to host the 13th Annual Battle of the Bay Paddle Race.  Held at Dunphy Park in Sausalito, California, this is a family-oriented water sports race day featuring a 7.5-mile long course and categories for SUP, Outrigger Canoe, Surfski, and Prone. 

 Kana Lui Miami Outrigger Canoe Club is excited to present the NISH Outrigger Challenge Miami, a two-day event held on Virginia Key in sight of downtown Miami.  Sunday's racing includes single/double outrigger canoes, V1s and surfskis.

The Bridges of Essex County is a 6.4 mile surfski race on the (mostly) protected waters of the Danvers River estuary, on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Another Dam Race (ADR) started in Parker, AZ, as an end-of-the-season race for the 6-man outriggers, and it was the kick-off for the winter.  Since that first event ADR has grown to include SUP, outrigger, and surfskis as well. Come join more than 500 participants on Veterans Day Weekend for one of the best races of the year!
